A new mobile coffee shop meets its guests where they are in a sunshine-yellow Volkswagen van.

Lady Sunshine Coffee pops up at garden centers, museums, private events, really anywhere that could use some positivity and a cup of joe.

Elizabeth Estabrook opened south shore-based Lady Sunshine Coffee in March and has spent her time in the six weeks since she opened crafting her customers' experience just as much attention as the cup itself.

Estabrook takes her van, which she herself outfitted for coffee brewing, from location to location, selling espresso drinks, coffees, and teas, all with a positive affirmation written on the bottom of the cup.

"It’s not just the coffee," Estabrook said. "It's something that sticks with you as you go about your day. Everyone drinks coffee for different reasons. We try to give them the experience they need and then some."

Along with spreading joy through cups of coffee and positive vibes, Lady Sunshine Coffee works to lift women coffee producers up. Estabrook sources materials from women producers, roasters, and owners to support the gender that makes up 70% of the labor in coffee production, according to Lady Sunshine Coffee, but only a fraction of whom own the land or fruit.

Estabrook said she has received a welcoming reception from the community.

"I'm so pleasantly surprised to see people looking at my schedule and meeting me where I’m at," she said.

Estabrook, a Brockton native, worked with design team Tekwani to create her company over the course of a year, a process which included getting her now-iconic yellow van from  Los Angeles to Massachusetts.

Lady Sunshine Coffee pops up at private events, local businesses, sporting events, and more.
